Ride the Ranch
Come Ride the Ranch! Open to the public for no charge weather permitting! The Kamloops Bike Ranch is a 26 hectare area located in the terraced and gullied silt bluffs of pine trees, sage brush and open grasslands between Valleyview and Juniper Ridge neighborhoods.
The initial site has an elevation change of 132 m over it's 1.2 km length. This exceptional facility is focused on developing mountain bike riding in all disciplines.
World class athletes are drawn to Kamloops to take advantage of the amazing training opportunities the Ranch is providing, and we are lucky as local riders to have it situated right here in our back yards.
Managed on behalf of the City of Kamloops, The Ranch continues to secure its status as the largest municipal bike park in North America under the daily care and management of our maintenance team.
Ranch History
The Kamloops Bike Ranch was originally created by the City of Kamloops with the help of two partner groups. This partnership established freeride and downhill trails within the bike park and it quickly became a popular shuttling venue.
The operation of the bike park has been taken over by the Kamloops Performance Cycling Center. While the bike park still caters to free-riders, and will remain one of the best bike parks you can access within a city, a new focus has been put on actual competition trails. Our race courses have transformed the Kamloops Bike Ranch from simply being an excellent freeride area to being a premier sporting venue which has proven itself capable of hosting regional and national level events.
